<p><strong>Cost of health insurance premiums<br /></strong>&#8220;Every year health insurance becomes less affordable for families and businesses. Over the past six years, the amount families pay out of pocket for their section of premiums has increased by about $1,500,&#8221; said Kaiser President and CEO Drew E. Altman, Ph.D.

Less than half of businesses with three to nine employees offer health insurance to their employees.

<p><strong>Cost of health insurance premiums<br /></strong>&#8220;Every year health insurance becomes less affordable for families and businesses. Over the past six years, the amount families pay out of pocket for their portion of premiums has increased by about $1,500,&#8221; said Kaiser President and CEO Drew E. Altman, Ph.D.

<p>As many Americans know, premiums have risen dramatically. In fact, this discover states that health insurance premiums have risen over 78 percent since 2001.
